Contacting Blogs

On Monday 4^th March, my main focus was targeting niche blogs that post music within the same sub-genre that my artist is in. I researched these blogs online, paying attention to what music they like to post and what their reach is. I wanted to make sure that I was approaching a mixture of blogs, some with large levels of engagement and some with lower engagement. Once I had a list, I proceeded to take on the spokesperson role from Mintzberg, making a rough email template to send to each blog, ensuring that each email clearly explained what type of artist Raul is and included links to Raul’s Spotify, Apple Music, Live Performance on YouTube, and Instagram, to provide the email recipient with ease-of-access links. Some of the blogs/sites that were targeted include: Kerrang, Alexrainbirdmusic, DIY Conspiracy, The Alternative, Primal Music, Ultimate Classic Rock, Kerrang and Rock Sound.
